You vs. Social Media

Living in the times that we do, we easily have access into the lives of almost any person as long as they have a social media account.  It’s easy to compare yourself to the things and/or people who you see on Instagram or Facebook.  It’s also easy to fall into the trap of feeling “not good enough.”

Not fit enough.

Not pretty enough.

Not funny enough.

Not enough….

When that starts to happen, you need to do one simple thing.

It doesn’t matter if it’s your parents, siblings, cousins, BFF, neighbor, or coworker!  If following their account makes you feel some kind of way that isn’t positive… hit that unfollow button boo.

The most important relationship that you will ever have is the one you have with yourself.

Does this mean that you have to unfollow someone FOREVER?  Nope, not unless that’s what you want.  There have been plenty of people who I have unfollowed/unfriended indefinitely and some that was temporary until I worked out my hang up with that account, then I re-added them (it’s not you… it’s me).

Social media should be used for:

  • connecting
  • entertainment (memes are my jam)
  • motivation/inspiration
  • informative (but please fact check!!)
  • assisting with building your biz

The point I’m making is… social media pages you should NEVER make you feel envious, jealous, awful, or anything thing like that.  And if it is, you know what to do…
